BESPOKE FUNCTIONS AT THE WHITE LION

The White Lion offers versatile spaces for all kinds of functions. We have previously hosted christenings, weddings, funerals, hen dos, birthday parties and many other social gatherings.

 

Function options are flexible and can be tailored to suit your needs. Our chefs can create bespoke menus just for your event, be it a three course à la carte meal or a finger food buffet.

 

We take pre-orders to ensure slick service at your event and table service is available for sit-down meals.

We can seat approximately 30 people in the restaurant at two long or individual tables, and 20 in the bar with similar seating options. For large parties or parties that would like a private space, our newly refurbished function room is now open. The function room is perfect for buffets or sit down meals and can seat 50 people, it has access to the enclosed back garden and has a bottle bar.

​

 

 

We would love to host your wedding...our function room has been decorated as a blank canvas so you can decorate as you like. Flowers and eucalyptus have been added to the beams to give the natural rustic feel which flows throughout this country pub.

Jen will be plan with you from the start and Chef Chris will talk you through menu's. We can tailor a menu for your special day, we are very flexible on our approach to large groups as everyone's tastes are different. We can also cater easily for Gluten Free, Vegan and Vegetarian guests.

​

Our venue is perfect for smaller weddings as we can cater for 50 seated guests. We are also within walking distance of Great Longstone Church, Little Longstone Chapel is a two minute drive away and we are a short drive from Bakewell Registry Office.
